Iron Duke The A Novel of Rogues Romance and Royal Con Games in 1930s Europe Action Adventure Short Stories Collection L Ron Hubbard Books Reviews
good read
Good, fast read, similar to "The Prisoner of Zenda". Basically a con man impersonates the royal head of state, some romance, good adventure, set in the nineteen thirties, with the Nazi's. on the warpath.
great story
I very much enjoyed this story. It was fun, fast paced and had my attention. I highly recommend this story and any other story by L. Ron Hubbard for people of all ages. They grab your attention and keep it all the way through.
This was an interesting story. It tells a story that holds your interest and flows to its end. This is an enjoyable read.

Not exactly rags because the Duke is always a dashing guy -- it's just the way he is -- but he is pretty down and out with everyone and their brother after him. He is brave in the extreme and has not a whit of back-off on anything. He is the person you wish you were. And he pulls it off, honor totally in tact and wins the day!! Really a fantastic story.
... he was a pretty good writer. In this collection you have to forgive the stuffy phrasing, an artifact of the 1940s and 1950s. Despite that, the stories read like comic books, exciting and satisfying, if brief. Not a hint of Scientology to be found therein.
